The Settlers Postponed

In my eager anticipation of purchasing Ubisoft's The Settlers for the DS this week I was browsing around the internet and various gaming sites looking up some more information on it when I discovered a large problem. There were differing release dates on different sites and not by just a few days or even a week. Gamespot had the game listed for this week, March 27th, but several other sites including IGN had it listed for May 22nd! Once I did some further research Gamespot had it down as this month, but when you looked in their New Releases week by week list it wasn't shown until the week of May 22nd.

Now I've been looking forward to this game for quite some time. You can check out my description in my early post about the strategy games of this month, but basically it's a game where you settle a land and build towns, roads, etc. and an army to protect or invade other lands. It sounded totally awesome to me. Heck, I used to do the same thing in dirt piles when I was a little kid with toys. I had planned on playing it all spring break. So you can imagine my disappointment when I found out that it had in fact been moved back to May.

So all three of that also had the same plans and level of anticipation just realize and begin to cope with the fact you'll have to wait a little longer, but hopefully it will be worth the wait. In the mean time I guess I'll go get Theme Park or StarFox Command. Maybe they are worthy substitutes.
